Mission

		The technology district of Liguria on Integrated Intelligent Systems aim at: developing applied research activities defining and developing prototypes on the basis of the research activities informing, assisting and training on intelligent integrated systems technologies promoting and stimulating technology transfer activities for enterprises both through incubators for SMEs and/or spin offs from university supporting innovative entrepreneurship attracting innovative companies in this field to invest in Liguria

Description

		A consortium will manage the development of the technological district by means of: President and vice president Board of directors Scientific and Technological Council Partners Regione Liguria Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico della Liguria Scpa Filse spa Ligurcapital Spa Sviluppo Italia Liguria Scpa Privati (Associazione Industriali, Imprese, Dixet)    Camere di Commercio        Banche        Enti Territoriali Locali (Province)    Università degli Studi di Genova       Sviluppo Italia Liguria SpA       An infrastructure for laboratories and research activities in the technology district area will be put in place. The intelligent integrated systems can be at the origin of significant technical and scientific results and can be applied in the sectors of info-mobility and quality of life (environment, security and health).

Target And Perspective in the Mid-Long Term

		in the short time, to confirm and enforce the excellence in the intelligent integrated systems putting together industries and research centres and to outline a plan for technology transfer of research results and innovation. in the mid and long term, to increase and to enlarge the excellence of the sector of the intelligent integrated systems, both through new fields of research and through new fields of application of the intelligent technology. Research centres and industries, together, define the lines of development of the research to face the new technology and research trends in this field. The work will be done in accordance with the lines of developing of the industrial sector and the growth of the markets.

Requests and Envisage of Possible Investiments

		For the first 3 years, starting from the first semester of  2005, the total investment is estimated in above 60 M€ , mostly form public funds.  Following the start up phase the financing for the implementation of the activities will come from the private sector.
