The district architecture envisages the setting up of a network of laboratories working in three technological areas:
1) Design technologies
2) Materials and surfaces
3) Mechatronics and automation
And in specific research areas, such as:
Simulation and integrated design
Noise and vibrations
Sensors, actuators and automation systems for mechanical industry
-
Mechatronics for mechanical industry
-
Controlled atmosphere technologies, products and processes
-
Surfaces and Coatings for Advanced Mechanics and Nanomechanics
-
Nano-manufacturing
-
Materials and processes for mechanical design
Hi-Mech operating tools will be the so-called net-lab, i.e. Networked Laboratories that collect and share the best skills in the research areas and that contribute to the development of a critical mass around these areas, to achieve a degree of excellence in industrial research and to effectively transfer technology.
